ShipChat Play and the games it serves are a personal hobby project on a home server — not a company, not a commercial service, and not something anyone is paid for. By playing, you agree to the following.
No guarantees
Everything here is provided "as is", for fun, with no uptime guarantee, no warranty and no liability for lost progress, downtime, or anything else that goes wrong. Games and the platform can change, break or disappear without notice, and a game you were in the middle of can end because a server restarted.
Your account
- An account exists so players can tell each other apart. Don't impersonate anyone, and don't share your sign-in — a session is you, and anything done with it is treated as done by you.
- One person, one account. Signing in again after deleting yours simply starts a fresh one.
- You can delete your account and everything stored about you at any time, from the Delete Your Data page or inside the app.
Playing with other people
- Be decent in lobbies, rooms and chat. Harassment, abuse, slurs and spam get you removed from online play, at the operator's discretion and with no appeal process.
- Don't ruin matches on purpose — cheating, exploiting a game's bugs against other players, or holding seats to keep others out.
- Don't attack the service: no scraping, no automated clients pretending to be players, no attempts to reach other players' data or to break the token or lobby.
Suggestions and public content
Anything you post to the suggestion board — name, title, description, comments — is public, and can be edited, moderated or removed at any time. Don't post anything private, anyone else's personal details, or anything you don't hold the rights to.
The games themselves
Several are affectionate takes on classics, written from scratch with their own code, artwork and music. They are non-commercial fan work, are not affiliated with or endorsed by the original creators or rights holders, and no original assets are used. If you hold rights to something and would rather it were not here, say so through the suggestion box and it will be removed.
Changes
These terms may change as the project does. Continuing to play after a change means you accept it.
Questions go through the Marketplace's suggestion box. See also the Privacy Policy.
